"I had shoulder reconstruction surgery in June of 2009. This was the 3rd
surgery on my right shoulder within 6 years, and I am right handed. A
car accident resulted in a large tear of the supraspinatus tendon.
Cadaver tendon and five anchor screws were used to repair the damage.
Physical therapy (PT) started five weeks post surgical. In just 7 weeks
of therapy I have full range of motion in everything except external
rotation and that is coming along just fine. That's better range of
motion than I had before the car accident!
I've had four shoulder surgeries (1 on the left, 3 on the right) and
I've gone to four different physical therapy places. The first three
places were little more than gyms - they showed you some exercises and
sent you off to do them.
Restore Physical Therapy however is quite different. These guys stay
with you and watch every movement. You receive constant guidance,
support and feedback. I always hated going to PT before I found Restore
Physical Therapy. Armin and Louis make it fun and rewarding. And Karen
is wonderful with scheduling your appointments. It's still hard work,
but they will help you get to the best possible result. I hope I never
need PT again but if I do, it will definitely be Restore Physical
Therapy.
